Advertisers buy V7N blog links and then V7N goes out and gets contextually relevant links for their advertisers in the form of blog posts. Anyone can buy a link in a directory, but a link within a blog post is better because it is contextually relevant. The text surrounding the link is on topic with the link and we all know that search engines value these links higher than some random link placed on a page somewhere.
